Numbers represent order and they provide answers to questions that businesses have every day. As an accountant with Marathon Petroleum, I’ve had the opportunity to perform a wide range of accounting functions including AP/AR, production and expense accounting, and reporting analysis. I’ve also been tapped to lead a number of special projects, including implementing new accounting software across 16 locations in 13 states, maximizing foreign duty savings, and coordinating a multimillion dollar budget. Along the way, I’ve found dozens of ways to improve processes and save money. That’s why I love numbers! I’ve also become a champion of diversity and inclusion, and have led the DE&I team at our Garyville location for the last seven years. I helped establish the women’s, veterans, and Hispanic employee networks, and serve as a field contact for other Marathon locations and with the corporate office.
