Daniel Copeland Actor Roleplayer’s Expertise Daniel trained at Drama Studio London and started his career in T.I.E. and young people’s theatre, including an interactive improvised storytelling show The Storytelling Stone where the audience created the backstory of the mysterious stranger on stage, Malcolm in Macbeth which included workshops in schools on understanding Shakespeare and and Patricia Loughrey’s The Inner Circle an early piece on HIV/AIDS for Y-Touring, which included and workshop on Safe Sex on tour and at the National’s Cottesloe. Progressing to rep at Harrogate and Ipswich he played a naïve Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, a public school Cassio in Othello and Baron Tuzenbach in David Mamet’s version of Three Sisters., whilst also appearing in more modern classics taking the part of the hearty Cook in Mother Courage and the eponymous hero in The Norman Conquests. More experimental theatre includes the performance piece Cooking Ghosts for Kristin Frederickson, immersive and site specific projects for Secret Cinema and Historic Royal Palaces, and the epic 24 hour play The Warp performed in a techno club under London Bridge Station More recent theatre includes the premiere of Torben Bett’s Invincible at The Orange Tree Theatre, which later transferred to the St James Theatre, Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit at the Queens Theatre, Aston in The Caretaker and Iago in Othello both at Nottingham Playhouse , Banakhu in Ken Campbell’s Pidgin Makbed at the Cottesloe and Baloo in The Jungle Book at West Yorkshire Playhouse. On television along with several commercials Daniel has appeared in Casualty, Six Experiments That Changed The World, The Day Britain Stopped and the one off comedy drama Walter with Adrian Dunbar. Daniel enjoys walking and cooking and is recent convert to Netflix. In 2015 he graduated with a first class degree in English Literature from the Open University. He lives in London.
