While on shift I also spent 21 years as a first responder on the Syncrude Fire Team, which supplied me with a wealth of knowledge in that area of expertise. I have a good knowledge of what is safe and what is not in the workplace. I finished up my last 12 yrs on site in the Safety field, first as field safety, then 3 yrs as Safety area leader in Corporate safety. I finished off my last 8 yrs as Safety Area Leader for Turnarounds. After 35 amazing yrs on Syncrude site I have moved into the retired ranks. I am still willing to entertain TA Field Safety roles on short term duration events.
