  Hi, my name is Dave Mercer. Since an early age, I have had a passion for sport and activity, so much so, that I decided when I left school that I wanted to continue to be involved in sport and became a PE teacher. I taught Physical Education for 12 years, as well as playing Rugby, to a semi-professional level. Throughout my time teaching and playing I developed a passion for training and keeping fit. I saw myself as a role model and wanted to teach children the importance of a balanced, active and healthy lifestyle. Whilst teaching and training regularly at the gym, it became apparent to me that children have so many opportunities to access activity and sport, compared with adults. I realised that my future didn’t lie in helping young people, but with helping those who don’t have the knowledge, time, access and motivation to get involved with physical activity, due to the pressure of day to day life. So I decided to turn my passion of training and feeling good into helping others achieve their fitness goals. After qualifying as a WABBA personal trainer in 2011 with a level 3 Advanced City and Guilds Personal Trainer Qualification, I decided to set up Transform Fitness, a professional, bespoke, personal training service, which aims to help people reach their fitness goals, in their time and around their busy schedules. My motivation is to help you achieve your goals. Whether you want to get in shape for an occasion, kick-start a healthier lifestyle or you need a program to improve your sporting performance, we can cater for you.
