During my studies, I developed a passion for litigation and an academic interest in international law. Furthering those passions, I earned a spot on our Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team and wrote the Third Best Written Memorial out of nearly 50 law schools at the U.S. Eastern Regional. At Minnesota, I began my interest in oral argument and persuasion by joining the Parliamentary Debate Team and competing in debates throughout Minnesota. I also studied in Fes, Morocco, taking classes in Arabic and immersing myself in the local culture. Following graduation, I worked as a community organizer, advocating for a healthy environment in Minnesota with a particular focus on regulating the use of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances, more commonly known as PFAS, a group of forever chemicals that have been linked to several types of cancer and congenital diseases. Later, I took a job in the mail room of Gray Plant Mooty, a large law firm in Minneapolis. This experience in a legal setting solidified my decision to return to education and attend law school.
