He provides Technical Expertise and Advice on Underground Space Geomechanics, Ground Behaviour, Rock Mechanics and Numerical Modelling issues. David is the recipient of a few technical awards, such as the 2016 Australian Geomechanics Award while in 2012 he received the distinguished Coffey Medal Award for Technical Excellence in Consulting, a global award within Coffey. In 2009 he also received the David Sugden Award from the Australasian Tunnelling Society for young tunnelling engineers. He has been involved on a broad range of projects varying from complex open pit designs and deep and highly stressed underground mines to major infra-structure civil projects within densely populated cities (tunnels, motorways, etc.).
