I am well conversant with project management models and tools to handle local, national as well as internationally funded programmes/ projects. I have managed emergency, post conflict livelihood, and capacity building programmes funded by the European Union, the UK’s Department for International Development. In general terms, I am a legal and political analyst, a historian and human rights based development programmer. My skills include Churches and Faith Groups working in development, public health, vocational skills, education, NGO sector management, programming and project/ programme management, implementing livelihood activities in the context of poverty alleviation projects and strategies, capacity staff and institutional capacity building, and fundraising from the EU and DFID. I am an established action oriented and innovative development worker with leadership and management skills for all situations. I am also an established proposal writer, researcher, monitoring and evaluator, training designer with a passion for effective capacity building, a strategic planner and a proficient team leader for efficient service delivery or restructuring and strategic development of multi-disciplinary, multi-national teams with significant success in expanding organization’s size and impact, improving organizational profiles and professionalizing engagement with government, donors, civil society and the private sector. I am also an established NGO sector expert with nearly 30 years of experience in all areas from capacity building, training, fundraising, project/ programme management from conceptualizing to designing activities at strategic and implementation levels in national,international or grassroots livelihoods activities. I am now practicing the Human Rights Based Approach to development.
