I continued to work for them for 6 years across two sites in Wales, until I took voluntary redundancy. Working with a ex colleague who had set up an engineering company, I worked in many sites across the UK developing both his business and re-honing my engineering skills, Whilst there I worked in many industries from lead to production of sauces for McDONALD's. I also gained experience working for Dairy Crest in Derby and Severnside; also at Morrisons plant, and Dailycer, Deeside, I was then the Eng Mgr for Sun Valley. this was the most diverse position that I have taken up so far. I enjoed working with a good team and it feels like home, with a new challenge every day so you can never get too comfortable. My experience and skill set now allows me to continue to grow whilst developing my crew and Integrate it into the wider team, improving communication and the efficacy of both the plant and the team members. Then I joined Premier Foods and enjoyed 10 months managing 40 engineers but was given the chance to to leave for a thrilling new position at Newbridge energy. I manage a small team of engineers and work alongside a cohort of graduates to ensure the efficiency of a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant. Giving 2MW of energy to the national grid alongside this we utilise the waste heat to produce Carbon neutral fuel for industrial, commercial and domestic use. supplying up to 1800 homes. I have now taken a position closer to home and back in food production with Barry Callibaut making vending machine drinks, I hope to use all of my skills to help the team build on their ethos, production output and quality.
