David Sebastião Cabral’s Expertise Engineer working for defense and telecommunication industry since 2012, I perform solutions in the fields of electronics, microwave, RF components & circuit, PCB design, Antenna, and System Engineering. I participated of the development of several technologies, as distance measurement equipment – DME, electronic warfare equipment (EW) and oceanic radar, contributing to RF subsystem, designing an RF detector, supporting UHF power amplifier design, designing a proprietary backplane (based on VME64 standard), designing and schematic capturing of multi-layers PCB boards with high density using Altium. Moreover, I provided analog circuit simulation using Agilent ADS and PSpice. Additionality, I conducted subsystem and PCB tests (debugging) using equipment as near-field probes. I developed a UWB AVA irradiator and a linear array for phased array applications. Furthermore, I am able to conduct EMI / EMC testing for military and civil certification . I worked designing and simulating antennas and RF components using EM software tools as 42nec, CST, HFSS, and FEKO. Afterward, I got experience testing antenna and systems on far-field and near-field anechoic clamber (Starlab equipment). Additionality, I conducted off-set parabolic analyses and I designed a Yagui-uda antenna for radio GSM link (Radio Mobile simulator). I have a Ph.D. degree in microstrip antennas and radiation area. I proposed a direction-finding system based on microstrip antenna for UWB applications based on electronic squint. I designed and tested the antenna element and a linear array. I developed a two-channel receiver and a Matlab software to calibrate and verify the system performance. I am familiar with Mathematica@ (programming), Octave, Matlab@ (Simulink and programming), Labview, Python and I would not fear any other tools/languages if necessary. Additionality, I have a good understanding of WCDMA, LTE, and GSM standards.
