I took different short-term trainings that has developed my capacity in research which includes; scientific writing and reviewing, comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis, clinical trial, grantsmanship training and project management trainings. In addition, I have a few publications in the field and lead research projects. Currently, my researches are focusing on the area of cervical cancer and pelvic floor disorders among others. I have attended a few international and many national workshops/ conferences and presented my research work. I was the chair of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the department and have been coordinating projects. I am a member of different Professional societies like FIGO, International Urogynecology Association, International society of Fistula surgeons, International Papillomavirus Society, and I am an executive board member of the Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. I am also one of the lead national trainers in the area of Maternal, sexual, and reproductive health. I am a kind of person who respects others idea and open to learn from others irrespective of their level of education and status. I am very open to teach and share my experiences in a friendly manner to others. My hobby is listening to spiritual songs, sports, and spending time with my family. Jimma University
