I devoted my practice almost exclusively to the counseling and defense of physicians, hospitals, nurses, chiropractors, dentists, and other health care professionals in malpractice litigation and trials. In my 23 year career as a medical malpractice defense attorney, I routinely handled cases with multimillion dollar exposure. I previously served for 12 years in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. While assigned to the Superior Court Trial Division, I served as Deputy Chief of the Homicide Bureau under District Attorney Jeanine Pirro. Before that, I served as Deputy Chief of the Career Criminal Bureau under District Attorney Carl Vergari. During my tenure in public service, I successfully prosecuted many noteworthy homicides and other serious felony offenses. I also served for 10 years as part-time Town Prosecutor for the Town of Yorktown, New York (2000-2010). While attending Brooklyn Law School, I clerked for the Honorable Thomas C. Platt of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and interned with the Office of the United States Attorney, Criminal Division, under the Hon. Raymond J. Dearie. I have been an invited speaker on various topics at seminars sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the New York State Inspector General’s Office, and the Yonkers Police Department.
