Douglas Kalis’s Expertise Over the past 25+ years in IT I have been exposed to many different facets of the technology life cycle and many of its trends (listed from most current experience): * Responsible for the building of an inhouse call center, pulling the 1st level support functions back from a 3rd party vendor (TCS). Our main help desk is located in India (Bangalore), with smaller centers located in Puerto Rico, Tunisia, China, and Singapore; the smaller location are used to proved specialized language support. * A member of the ITSM rollout project, working within a mixed team (internal and an external partner) to develop and deploy a new ServiceNow (SNOW) environment. Including integration of a chat translation Bot, to support the translation of all incoming chats to English. * Expansion of Second Level EUS (End User Support) across the globe, to increase our availability for mission critical manufacturing locations to ensure maximum uptime. * A member of the Change Comity and Project SteerCo, including working on the M&A Team (Mergers and Acquisitions) * I have been responsible for Hardware acquisition in the Americas, and was successful in securing stock levels even during the pandemic caused shortages worldwide. By forecasting ahead, and planning with many vendors, I was able to ensure the Americas were stocked and felt no impact during lease phase rollouts, new hire demand, and M&A's. * Responsible for IT Purchasing, and contracts in the Americas; and on a Global scale I am responsible for budgeting and approvals of hardware (however in EMEA and APAC there are separate procurement teams). * Management of a Global team of EUS supporters, with 37 direct reports and a further 67 indirect reports.
