For twelve years at the CMU Robotics Institute, I facilitated conversations with tech developers, tech users, and other stakeholders around values-driven tech deployment. I forged strategic partnerships with nine universities to generate at-scale, context-driven purposeful tech practices. Near the end of the last Millenium, shortly after the assassination of Prime Minister Rabin, I left Israel to backpack in South America. On the way back home, I stopped in New York City. I studied at the International Center of Photography in New York. I moved to Pittsburgh following the love of my life. There, I leveraged my photography and (earlier) journalism experience to lead creative inquiries in collaboration with learners and educators. In High school, my philosophy teacher taught me to question power and norms. My literary arts teacher encouraged me to pay attention and make every moment count. I listened.
