Edward Bilotti’s Expertise In 2017, Dr. Bilotti left his position as Medical Director of Psychiatric Services at Southern Maine Health Care/Maine Behavioral Healthcare (SMHC) and founded CoRecover, an outpatient treatment center for co-occurring disorders. While at SMHC he oversaw clinical services for inpatient, consultation, psychiatric emergency department, and partial hospital/intensive outpatient programs. Dr. Bilotti is Clinical Asst. Professor at Tufts School of Medicine. His particular clinical interests are in addictions, medication-assisted treatment of opiate use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and affective disorders. He is Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is also Board Certified in Addiction Medicine. He is a graduate of Tufts Medical School. While still a medical student he quickly recognized the challenges hospitals faced handling patient records. Using his prior experience with information technologies, he founded Prophecy Health Information Management, Inc. It grew to a successful small business with 18 full-time employees, contracts with major hospitals and medical practices, and was sold in 1996. He then went on to complete residency in psychiatry at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. In 1999, he launched Aroga Behavioral Health of Princeton (Aroga), which grew to become a multi-site, interdisciplinary group practice serving more than 3,000 patients. He was one of the first to obtain a waiver and begin treating opiate use disorder patients with Suboxone, developing several opiate treatment programs within Aroga. In 2009, Dr. Bilotti founded the TMS Center of Princeton, becoming the first in New Jersey, and one of the first in the United States, to provide transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) as a therapy for treatment-resistant depression. In 2012, he left Aroga & TMS Center of Princeton to relocate to Maine, a place he loved to vacation for many years.
