  During the summer while I was still attending school, I worked as a landscaper. I started working for Ed Fyke in the summer of 2003. Since then, I have worked my way from general laborer to foreman. I was responsible responsible for a crew of four to five men. After leaving school in December of 2011, I stared a new job as a Process Chemist at Gelest Inc. In my time at Gelest I was able to learn and efficiently run over 15 different reactors all designed for different purposes. I worked on reactors that were as small as 100 liters, to a reactor that had a 1,000 gallon capacity. The reactors I worked on included: high pressure reactors, reactors with distillation columns that were three stories high, and reactors that had were designated for one specific intensive process. I also served as an assistant to the waste manager for the plant at Gelest. In this position we had to segregate and prepare the bi-products and waste for the reactions run on site. Most of the waste was water or sodium bi-carbonate washes that were used to clean potential final products. After leaving Gelest, My brother and I purchased Ed Fyke Landscaping. We re-opened the Business under the Name Kovacs Landscaping. Since then, We have acquired 200 new customers and continue to grow daily. I'm currently an Environmental Chemist that visits new job sites everyday. I work with chemical companies, universities, hospitals, and even nuclear power plants. My daily responsibilities range from site Environmental Health Specialist to Chemical Waste Technician. My personal goal as a Chemist is to find a job where I can apply my skills to help save or protect the environment. I have gained an immense appreciation for nature while attending school in the Pocono Mountains. With my knowledge of chemistry, a background of landscaping and time spent working in chemical industry, I hope to take my skills to a new level and make a difference in any way I can. Stericycle
