  My name is Eliza Carroll and anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about working in development and education. I studied Political Science at the University of Colorado for my undergraduate work. I also attended American University’s Washington Semester Program in D.C. I was part of a Foreign Policy Unit and while I was there I maintained an internship with the American Task Force on Palestine. I attended House and Senate committee hearings, visited embassies and spoke with Ambassadors, had a meeting with National Security Council, and many other meetings and briefings pertaining to U.S. Foreign Policy. For my internship I was required to attend meetings and hearings pertaining to the Israeli-Palestinian Crisis and to compose short briefs to be posted to the website summarizing the event and our stance in relation to the speaker’s position. In February 2008 I volunteered in Ghana, West Africa with Cross Cultural Solutions. I spent a month there teaching second grade at the Musama School in Hohoe. After class I spent my time in local orphanages and in cultural activities in the local area. I recently received my Masters Degree in International Relations at Hult International Business School in London. After I spent my time in Ghana I had a clear vision of what I need to do in life. I miss my students everyday and cannot wait to be able to return and see them hopefully soon. I am an advocate for human rights as well and I was one of the officers for the Hult Amnesty International and Human Rights group.
