Emily Borg’s Expertise I have dedicated the entirety of my over 15-year legal career to workers’ compensation defense, providing proactive counsel to clients who rely on me to vigorously defend their claims while ensuring their overall business objectives are met. I am highly knowledgeable in all facets of workers’ compensation claims, their litigation, and their management — experience that has translated into a 90 percent success rate before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and Illinois courts. I also have extensive Illinois Appellate Court argument experience, recently achieving victory in an alleged repetitive trauma carpal tunnel syndrome case for a global industrial services client. My clients represent a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, staffing agencies, facility management, construction, financial services, and more. I handle each matter from intake through resolution with a hands-on approach that helps drive consistency and efficiency, and works closely with clients to formulate strategies and legal action plans that align with their objectives. I understand the importance of aggressive efficient closure of a case. After graduating from DePaul University College of Law, I served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Justice Patrick Quinn in the Illinois Appellate Court. After achieving vast knowledge and experience in the practice at a local Chicago firm, I departed to launch the Chicago workers' compensation practice group at Goldberg Segalla. I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Fragile X Foundation, a not for profit organization committed to advancing research toward improved treatments and a cure for Fragile X Syndrome, the most common known genetic cause of autism and autism spectrum disorders. This foundation united the Fragile X community and enriches lives through education and emotional support and promote awareness.
