  Hi I'm Erik Anderson, I have traveled down numerous different paths and taken the best experiences from each to form who I currently am today. The beginning of my journey directed me towards Engineering due to my love for understanding how things work and desire to be creative and build. I went to school with Engineering as the focus. I then was exposed to new ways of creativity and problem solving that changed my course. I started working as a sales representative for vector marketing while in school. This challenged me to learn to engage others in and build soft skills such as time management, goal setting and communication. About halfway through school I was approached with an opportunity to start a business and devoted my time to my marketing agency. Starting my busines left me with a strong understanding of marketing funnels, ad analysis, audience analysis, business development, and time management (as well as a new appreciation for small business owners). After starting and ending my business, I enrolled in UT Dallas Marketing program. Here I learned more about marketing and discovered the UTD Sales program. As one of the top sales programs UTD Sales taught me how to approach sales in a creative and solution based way. Using current sales methods such as Challenger and Miller Heimen, my skill set expanded as I worked towards my quota for SQLs for the sales program, utilized a variety of sales stack programs, and learned about IT technology (most of the companies I engaged with were IT companies). Outside of school I exposed myself to courses on Cloud Services, Cloud Security, and Javascript coding to develop my knowledge base in the growing IT security fields. As a result of an interest in Real Estate and wanting to grow as a leader, I accepted a role as a construction manager. This role has tested me and taught me a lot. Being decisive is a leadership trait and it is my responsibility to make decisions for the job sites I manage. I have learned to handle a greater workload and do so by being organized.
