Fabien Brun’s Expertise My motto: be curious! I have never considered curiosity to be a flaw but a good quality. I’ve always tried to be and stay curious, about everything Curiosity helps to change standpoints on how things should be done That’s why I have always admired MacGyver since my childhood, he is able to solve everything with anything. He is the perfect example of “thinking out of the box”, able to find workarounds using unconventional ways. Obviously, the guy is a fictional character; but I do admire the genuine MacGyvers of the real world. Curiosity is the spark that ignites the “learning fuel” I deeply think I would have learned way less without being pushed by the curiosity Among the subjects I have been attracted to, are electronics, board manufacturing, mechanical design, firmware, standardization, V&V, etc…. And a lot of topics not closely related to my professional environment Playing rugby gave me a true dedication to teamwork with sacrifices, sharing, and cohesion. I got my share of “taking one for the team” and I gained a good ability to withstand stressful situations Back then when I started, it was out of curiosity So, curiosity is certainly not the most important quality but it is the starting point of many skills Now, don’t be shy!
