During this period he led the organisations to unprecedented growth during very challenging times. He has strong financial management skills and these skills have been used to grow the organisations and develop them into entities which can re-invest into growth strategies. He has strong governance, strategic and management knowledge and skillsets. He uses this understanding to the benefit of the organisations he has lead, developing excellent strategic planning processes, developing and implementing sound governance systems and building efficient and effective staffing teams to implement the strategies to achieve key objectives. He is currently working towards a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). * Chief Executive Officer at Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA WA) Currently, Gavin is the CEO of IPAA WA and commenced in this role in 2012. IPAA WA is the professional association for public administrators. As a passionate supporter of delivering best outcomes for the WA community, Gavin is highly motivated by leading the organisation whose vision is "excellence in public administration." Gavin believes that delivering the best outcomes to the whole community is achieved through true collaboration He has led IPAA WA in adapting its mandate to include Commonwealth, State and Local governments, not for profit organisations, academia and any other organisation delivering outcomes to the community.
