Starting in Youth inclusion Work, my career spanned across Anti-Social Beahviour Teams, Youth Criminal Justice and through to specialist Muti-Agency, Early Intervention Teams before moving to Sweden. Through this, I have gained comprehensive knowledge and experience in health and social care legislation, policies and procedures including safeguarding, diversity and inclusion and developing safe and healthy communities. Having worked and lead teams in a range of agencies, this has afforded me effective practices in engaging and maximizing the potential of the most challenging, disengaged and isolated children, young people and families in society. Whether this work be in school, home or the local community, I have been led by the voice of the child but through collaboration with a range of professionals and stakeholders. This, as well as work with a range of statutory and voluntary services has allowed me to provide holistic support and affect real and lasting change. My training and practice is rooted in Asset-Based and Restorative Practice, which I am passionate about. Since moving to Stockholm in 2017, I have enjoyed continuing to work with young people and threading my experiences through work in schools - most recently supporting school culture within International Schools in Student Care and Behaviour Management positions and currently the Student Health Team at Europaskolan.
