Since then I have planned, and drilled wells in multiple countries; on land, jackups, semis, and drillships; in the GoM, the Caribbean, Asia, West Africa, and Australia; Subsalt, MPD wells, completion, expandables, >30,000 wells, depleted reservoirs, etc.. I love the travel, the challenges of drilling, the can-do attitude of the industry, and of course the time off with family. I pride myself in knowing all aspects of a well cycle, from planning to execution, and purposely alternate between office role to field role in order to keep my engineering skills fresh and link them to the operation.
