Ghigo Ditommaso ghigo@gehlpeople.com & | Trained at the Florence School of Architecture, Ghigo began his professional trajectory in Barcelona, where he worked for Gina Architects and taught History of Architecture and Urban Design at Universitat Ramon Llull. In 2012, he relocated to San Francisco to join Rebar Design Studio, for which he spearheaded some of the group's most ambitious projects. A founding member of Gehl's American practice, Ghigo is also affiliated with the UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design, where he teaches and directs a program focused on Urban Innovation. As a Partner and Director at Gehl US, Ghigo leads the Urban Design and Development group, working on redevelopment projects across the Americas. Integrating the passion of the designer with the rigor of the researcher and the commitment of the educator, Ghigo moves with agility across urban disciplines and all scales of design. Ghigo holds a PhD and MSArch from EtsaB, Barcelona School of Architecture, and a MArch from the University of Florence.
