After graduating high school, I decided to go to college for accounting. My love for business and numbers made this journey fulfilling. I eventually received my Associate's degree in accounting at Laguardia College. My professors always told me the business industry is extremely competitive and suggested I continue my education. I took their advice and decided to attend Baruch College to get my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration specializing in finance. During my time at Baruch, I worked at PSBM management as an accounting intern. I gained experience on how to apply accounting concepts to softwares like Quickbooks. Eventually I worked as a bookkeeper at ReLearning curve which strengthened my accounting experience. After a few years, I moved on to work at 32BJ retirement fund as an assistant pension analyst. There I gained more experience with MS excel and learned more about pensions. Finally, I ended up at American Arbitration Association. I spent almost three years as an Accounts Receivable Coordinator. The position required exceptional Excel and Quickbooks proficiency. I also learned how to use Oracle accounting software. Overall, I believe I am an asset to any company because I am diligent, responsible, hardworking and a team player.
