The interface I created was clean and intuitive and I met an ambitious deadline. I created a website where users can play checkers against a human opponent by email or a computer program. I did this on my own without studying how others had done it. l used both Python and Javascript in one project. The interface is in Javascript but the computer AI is in Python and connected to the website through Flask. I wrote the code so it works on mobile phones and tablets, using a touch screen. It was completed in stages and allows play on the same compute, play against against a computer opponent, and using Richard's PBEM server to manage the game by sending emails to the server from the website and translating the reply email into a board position. Since college, I’ve been on medical leave, but used the time to refine my skills and gain practical programming experience. While on leave I have undertaken numerous projects to add Python and JavaScript both client and server-side to my skill set and completed a Front End Certificate.
