  I am currently leading the delivery Local Area Energy Planning at Energy Capital, part of the West Midlands Combined Authority. Within that I am heavily involved with the LAEP+ tool as well as supporting the Net Zero Neighbourhoods programme. My team led the way through projects such as the Consumer, Vehicle and Energy Integration (CVEI) initiative as well as researching and developing projects in wireless charging, infrastructure development and zero emission vehicles. For six years I was the Transport and Occupation Road Risk category judge for the Mineral Products Association's Health & Safety Awards For seven years I was the FTA's Head of Urban Logistics Policy. I have also held policy and strategy roles across the public sector in regional, local and national government in European Funding (ERDF and ESF), Economic Development and Scrutiny. I led the FTA's work on cycling safety and developed the Cycling Concordat with TfL, the Cycling Code and the development of a Cycle Mark to help operators measure their standards and improve upon them. I also recently led the work - with How's My Driving - to produce a better safety sticker to reduce HGV/ Cyclist collisions. I was also Chair of TfL Working Group developing the CLOCS Standard for construction logistics (www.clocs.org.uk) #clocs I am a confident and competent presenter and author with broad technical and political knowledge base. I am currently a non-executive director of Chase Community Solar. In my spare time I volunteer as a Staff Sergeant Instructor with the Army Cadets.
