Haven't used any of the mainframe skills since 2008, but certainly remember them quite well. As well as IBM mainframes, I used the mainframe skills on Amdahl mainframes (which were IBM "compatible" -- for lack of a better term). Was heavily involved in the migration of the GM Janesville (Wisconsin) data center to an EDS Information Processing Center (IPC) at Plano, Texas in 1988. Was also a computer operator during my service in the USAF from 1969 through 1973; at the time, the USAF used mainly Burroughs equipment, specifically the B3500 mainframe, and the stand-alone "relic" known as the B263 (not much more than PCAM equipment, but in widespread usage in the USAF). I certainly realize that the Burroughs equipment has long been consigned the the data processing history scrap pile.
