Sure, you can yell at them when they mess up, or punish them for falling short, if that's the kind of leader you want to be. But in most cases they can simply walk away and quit, leaving you to accomplish the same tasks with less hands. So, in order to keep your staff, or followers, or whatever, you're responsible for ensuring a certain level of their happiness as well. And ultimately, as the leader, the weight of everyone's failure is on your shoulders. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
