Hana Freymiller’s Expertise I am the Chief Impact Officer at West Potomac Capital LLC (WPC) where I lead WPC’s impact measurement and managing systems. I spent 15 years leading the development and evaluation of economic development investments to reduce poverty through economic growth. I specialize in applying impact measurement systems to assess the potential impact of economic investments and then designing rigorous evaluations to capture the results. Prior to joining WPC, I spent 9 years with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a US Government agency whose mission is to reduce poverty through economic growth. At MCC, I was the Project Director for Timor-Leste from 2018 to 2021. I led sector selection and project development for a 484 million economic development investment to build the first modern sanitation system and educate every teacher in Timor-Leste. From 2014 to 2017, I led impact measurement and management for MCC’s programs in Ghana, Cabo Verde, Jordan, and Sri Lanka where I invested 20 million in data systems and evaluations to capture the results of 2 billion in economic development investments. I managed MCC’s first impact evaluation of water and sanitation infrastructure and launched MCC’s machine learning data systems to measure the economic impacts of infrastructure investments. I recently led MCC’s public data Disclosure Review Board and created the operational strategy for cost-efficiency analysis of MCC’s 14 billion investment portfolio across 43 countries. I spent my early career working for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), a research NGO that conducts randomized controlled trials of anti-poverty programs. I led three different impact evaluations in Ghana on financial services and community development. I specialized in evaluation design and measurement, creating technical standards for IPA’s field work around the world. I received my MPA in Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University and did my undergraduate studies in Economics at Wellesley College where I played varsity tennis. I am originally from Alaska where I developed my passion for economic development and the outdoors. I spend my spare time hiking, playing tennis, and running agility courses with my dog.
