  I started my nursing career on a medical-surgical unit in November 2015. On that floor, I became one of the main charge nurses after my first 9 months. After almost two years on that unit, I got a job at Smilow on a surgical oncology floor. After two years I went per diem at Yale and pursued my dream of travel nursing. I was on a cardiac step-down unit in Richmond, VA. After that assignment, I took a position at St Francis in Hartford, Ct on a CV surgical unit. After some time there I made the decision to go back to Yale full time, moving to a day shift position as well. I had been working nights up until October of 2019. Being back at Yale during the day, I have taken on many new roles. I have been charge nurse, preceptor for new nurses and DEU students, and the surgical oncology nurse liaison. I continue to practice in these roles and have taken on the Resource Nurse position. I believe my time management skills come from my prior waitressing experience, which I did for 7 years before I became a nurse. I am always willing to take on new tasks or challenges and continuing my education. Including working per diem for the Wallingford Public Schools as a sub-school nurse from December 2020 to January 2022. I graduated with my Masters of Education in Nursing through Western Governors University. I am excited to pursue my goal of being a clinical instructor. Wallingford Public Schools
