Henri Ervasti’s Expertise Meet me, a broad-scaled researcher experienced in image and data analysis, electro-optics, programming and molecular simulations. Currently I am specializing in Python programming, electro-optical measurements of uniquely designed silicon wafer samples, and (statistical) data and image analysis. In my repertoire can be included methodology development of measuring techniques, including hardware-software interfaces and measurement control software creation, as well as problem solving and troubleshooting of various instrumentation or programs. For me it is exciting to work in interdisciplinary top-notch research projects where new innovations are created and new things can be learned every day. I am keen on broadening and deepening my knowledge, would it then be in the field of natural sciences, programming, or more applied engineering solutions. Well, I have even experience in linguistic checking of video games, thus no-one can start claiming I would not be up for learning something new! From programming languages Python, Fortran and script have become familiar. I can also program in basic level C/C++. Other methodology include e.g. GIT and Subversion, CANopen, Eclipse, PyCharm, and LibreOffice. All common working environments, Linux/Unix, Mac OS and Windows are comfortable. My university degrees are in the field of theoretical chemistry; since start of the Master's degree project on molecular simulations in 2002, I have done molecular simulations on ionised molecules and gas phase reactions of them, ionic liquids and organic solvents, and solute solubilities into them, and development of quick empirical assessment methodologies for molecular screening. Molecular simulation packages such as Gaussian, GAMESS UK, GROMACS, CPMD, Towhee and Tinker were used. Specialties: * clean-room working proficiency (ISO 5)
