Hernandez-Fuentes Maria’s Expertise Any opinions expressed here are my own and not reflective of the views of UCB or KCL. I joined UCB Pharmaceuticals in 2016 to actively participate in Translational research, support the development of biomarkers of clinical utility in different diseases and increase the links between university and industry. I led a multidisciplinary Clinical Research Team in KCL. The focus was on the development of biomarkers that could be predictive of kidney transplant outcome and could eventually enable biomarker-led individualisation of therapy. As immunologist, I have a long standing interest in characterising and quantifying alloimmune responses in humans and tolerance; a particular focus was placed in studying the role of B lymphocytes in modulating anti-donor responses in transplantation and other Ag-specific responses.
