Ian Michael Jansen’s Expertise My name is Ian Jansen, and I graduated in Biobased Technology and Chemistry (Avans Hogeschool Breda). My major is Biobased Technology and my minors are Biobased Chemistry and Biopolymers. Working as chemical researcher allows me to grow as a person and increase my knowledge about composites and natural fibers. I really would like to contribute to a greener planet and help to create a solution for a sustainable environment During my career so far I’ve worked in research and development, creating new sustainable materials out of waste streams, and doing so with multiple simultaneous projects. Next to that I maintain and expand the research and development lab (composites), and guide the interns. I'm also keeping the lab equipment up to date and make small repairs. I do love a challenge. I have a hands-on mentality and strong problem servings skills with a drive to learn and absorb as much knowledge about the materials and processes I work with. I want to understand and apply this knowledge to make sure our products are a success for each of our customers. It is important to me to share my knowledge with the interns I'm guiding. I believe working as a team towards sustainable future will contribute to a green planet.
