  I have been working in early years for almost 25 years. I started out as a Registered Childminder, before gaining my qualification and working within pre schools and nurseries as a Nursery Practitioner, Deputy Manager and Manager. Over 10 years I gained my level 3, level 5 and level 6 qualifications. Earning Early Years Proffessional Status in 2010. As a forces family this was tough and at times a hard slog. I was juggling work, degree studies and raising 2 gorgeous little humans, 2 cats and a VERY large dog by myself a huge amount of the time as my husband was away serving in the Royal Navy. As nursery manager I developed a real passion for supporting others to feel the same sense of achievement i felt during my time studying. I was mentored through this period by a wonderful Head Teacher who I believe inspired me to keep growing, and to believing it's never too late for change. She quietly made me feel empowered every day so I could shine and grow. 15 years ago I left my amazing nursery team as I was offered a position as a local authority Childcare Development Officer supporting new childminders and Early Years settings. This was a huge opportunity for me and made me realise how rewarding it is be to be part of the growth of others through coaching, mentoring and training. Over the past 10 years I developed my skills as a manager as a Sure Start creche coordinator and then again as a trainer travelling around the country delivering a range of Early Years, Safeguarding and Leadership courses for an International Nursery Group. I have gained adult teaching qualifications such as PTTLS and my Assessor Qualification. My approach is to lead compassionately, generously and always to be available with a listening ear, open mind and a warm heart.
