My aim is to make lasting improvements within our university that enable students to study successfully. In order to achieve this, I work together with students, academics and staff, both within and outside our university. Diversity and inclusion are inherently related to making the university and its students excel, since a variety of views and backgrounds force people to look beyond their own perspectives. This leads to better questions and, consequently, a better understanding of the world around us. Therefore, I have a strong focus on inclusion in my daily activities. Activities include (i.a.) writing (policy documents, project plans and other texts), project management, organizing events, networking and doing research. My job requires me to work together with colleagues from many different departments and disciplines, as well as with several target groups, meaning that communication plays an important role in my work. Presently, I am focusing on student well-being, a theme that is progressively getting attention in the age of stress and burnout. I do this with a focus on prevention, while at the same time trying to improve services that help students when they need support. I have a special interest in services for students with a disability and LGBT+ students. Next to my work, I like to work on projects with social impact. My hobbies include reading (mainly non-fiction and philosophy), photography, music production, travelling, developing workshops and organizing events.
