Mr. Leider has also been involed with Congressman Bill Pascrell (D-NJ9) in persuading FDA and Shire Pharmaceuticals to open a clincal extension to a trial, allowing nine boys diagnosed with Hunter Syndrome a chance to receive experimental drugs to slow the progression. Mr. Leider speaks to large and small groups bringing awareness to all rare diseases as well inspirational presentations to motivate our youth. He was awarded The Abby at the Rare Voice Awards in Washington DC for his advocacy at the State Level.
