I am an Executive Director/Country Director with more than 20 years of experience leading Non-profit and Government agencies such as the International Rescue Committee (IRC); Peace Corps (PC); United Way (UW); and Action Against Hunger (AAH/ACF). I have driven humanitarian and development strategies that improved the lives and livelihoods of tens of thousands of individuals. Recently served as Executive Director with IRC's Resettlement, Asylee, and Integration (RAI) division. Notable Outcomes: - As Country Director with Action Against Hunger (AAH/ACF) in Uganda, oversaw all Country program operations including emergency humanitarian aid programming and the management of Therapeutic and Supplementary feeding centers. Negotiated multi-million dollar grants with UNICEF, USAID, and ECHO. - As U.S. Peace Corps Country Director in the Kingdom of Tonga and The Gambia, oversaw all Country Program operations. Collaborated with int'l NGOs, local organizations, and host country government agencies, to deliver life-changing technical training to residents. Officially represented the US Government. Designed and implemented a humanitarian relief project at the request of Gambia's President and US Ambassador (Ambassador's Emergency Relief Fund). Saved an estimated 8,000 lives in ten villages classified by the UN as experiencing emergency/catastrophe/famine (Villages received an IPC rating of 4 and 5). - As World Learning Country Director in Azerbaijan, implemented USAID's Strategic Technical Approach for Results Training (START) supporting good governance, improved business practices, and higher education opportunities. - As Executive Director with the International Rescue Committee's Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration division, spearheaded new office development and opened new refugee resettlement offices across the U.S. Supervised field office implementation of IRC's innovative "New Roots" programming. Helping new Americans become food secure. Oversaw IRC field office operating budgets ranging from from 1.5 Million to 36 Million. Supervised office staff ranging from 17 to 250. - As CEO with United Way in Kansas, drove innovative COVID response and recovery initiatives, such as expanding Just Food food bank's operations. Built coalitions among gov't agencies and non-profit orgs to improve the delivery of human services. - Led the design and implementation of Strategic Plans.
