Combining my passion and strengths I have led organizations through leadership transitions, growth and difficult situations. My interest in nonprofits first began at my family company, Al. Neyer, Inc. As Vice President of Human Resources, for our growing company, I helped to establish long lasting policies, benefits, compensation strategies, and to incorporate operational efficiencies. As an owner of the family business, I was proud to participate in the establishment of the Neyer Foundation which was funded by corporate profits, for the purposes of supporting our local nonprofits. I became a Board Member of Tender Mercies, Inc. in 1999, as they were interested in someone with HR experience. I learned alot about leadership, board governance, strategy and serving the community through. After several years on the Board, Tender Mercies received a 100K+ grant from @Impact100 Cincinnati. Learning more about Impact 100 sparked my interest in the collective giving movement, and I became a committee member, then Board Member of Impact 100 in 2006. I was elected President of Impact 100 in 2010, served for 2 years as President, and rejoined the Board in 2016, rolling off Dec. 2021. I continue to volunteer on projects and remain a member. The Impact 100 Board President position opened up an opportunity for me to serve as a Treasurer, Chair Elect, then Chair, of @Philanos, a national network of women's collective giving organizations. In addition I have served on the boards of Women Helping Women, Ursuline Academy, Tender Mercies, Flywheel Social Enterprise, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and I am currently on the boards of the Greater Lake Lorelei Water Improvement Corporation, St. Vincent DePaul and FreeStore Foodbank. I turned my passion and mission into my profession as the Executive Director of Leadership Council for Nonprofits, and served in that role for 10 years. Retirement is allowing me to continue to pursue my passions of promoting philanthropy, especially to women, throughout the Greater Cincinnati/Northern KY region and the country, and to continue to serve our community through board service.
