Jill’s scholarship focuses on the role of Higher Education in preparing students for their future with a more recent focus on social inequalities in access to graduate careers. Her Doctoral thesis focused on the development of career aspiration in undergraduate students with an emphasis on class and gender. Previously her work has included an evaluation of skills development in accounting trainees with a focus on the role of Higher Education and professional training providers. Jill is a member of the following University committees and groups; University Teaching Committee; Inclusive Teaching and Learning Steering Group, Access, Success and Progression Steering Group, Digital Education Steering Group, Student Voice Group, Academic Contingency Group, Student Life and Opportunities Contingency Group, Personal Supervision Working Party.
