My goal therefore is to mix both pleasure with education, joy and duties, focussing on the details while not losing sight of the big picture. I recently finished my Master's thesis on Virtual Tourism and travel intention. A highly relevant subject during this pandemic - how can we experience the world from home? And how do these experiences relate to our 'real' intentions to travel? By using the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator as an empirical research tool, I combined technology with social science to contribute to a growing body of knowledge about how we can all learn to love the planet in a more socially and environmentally responsible manner.
