  I am a cofounder, professor, investor, board member, coach, speaker & parent. I was born in Ireland but I´ve lived in Spain for the last 20 years. At IE Business School in Madrid, I am the Executive Director of the Owners Scaleup Program (OSP) which is a two week Exec Ed program designed for startups who want to scale. I teach electives in the MBA "Scaling Your Startup" & MIM "Scaleup Yourself!" programs. In the IE School of Global and Public Affairs, I teach an elective called Humanity´s Grand Challenges which looks at how exponential technologies are changing the way we live our lives. IE was ranked the No. 3 Business School in Europe by the Financial Times in 2017. The QS Global MBA Rankings of 2019 ranked IE in equal 8th place. I was previously Chairman and a cofounder of Hot Hotels. Hot grew to become Europe´s leading last minute, mobile only, hotel room booking App offering hotels in 54 countries & 320 cities. Hot was accelerated by Techstars Boston as one of the Summer 2015 intake. I was also one of the founding team of Marrakech, a Dublin based e-procurement company that raised over 75 million in Venture Capital and scaled to over 250 people. In a private capacity, I do 1to1 coaching with a number of Entrepreneurs who are trying to scale their business. I am a judge for the Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, & Mexico editions of Innovadores Menores de 35 organised by the MIT Technology Review. I have been interviewed by Al Jazeera, The Irish Times, RTÉ (Morning Ireland, Drivetime, Prime Time), TG4, El País, Intereconomía TV, La Sexta and quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian & Forbes. No-one believes it looking at me now but I played inter-county hurling for Limerick at underage level & have climbed up 3 of the 7 summits (Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Denali). I´ve lived, worked and paid taxes in Ireland, UK, the US, France, Norway and now Spain. I am the father of two girls Julia (16) & Claudia (14). I live with my guaaaaapísima wife Laura, who is from Ferrol in Galicia, near the Retiro Park in the centre of Madrid. We go every summer to Pontedeume, Galicia.
