Prior to joining PCORE, Moidel served as both a Drilling Engineer and Completions Engineer for the Permian Asset Team at Pioneer Natural Resources where he helped the company transition from a pure vertical to a pure horizontal Midland Basin Producer. Moidel was also utilized a special advisor for critical fishing operations where multiple wellbores were salvaged. Prior to working for Pioneer, Moidel managed 40 employees and a 25MM profit and loss center as Operations Manager for Baker Hughes’s Marcellus Shale completions and fishing district based in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. At Baker Hughes, Moidel was involved in numerous deep-water fishing projects including the 2010 BP Macondo blowout where his team successfully recovered 35 million gallons of oil pollution prior to plugging and abandoning the well. Moidel graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Moidel gained his first experience in O&G while working as a roustabout for Pride International in Angola, Africa aboard the dynamically positioned drillship Pride Africa.
