When he finally emerged after the countless hours of study, practice, and a whole lot of Detroit hustle… John had indeed re-invented himself and become one of the most sought after fashion & portrait photographers in the region. In 2017, he took over a failing Italian fashion magazine, re-branded and revamped it, and launched what would become AVANTI MODA Magazine, a fashion publication that is read by 1.5 to 5 million people world-wide for each published issue. He has become a recognized voice and regular correspondent during New York's Fashion Weeks, Paris Fashion Week, and Miami Swim Week. John's writing, videos, and photography work has been seen all over the world. He has appeared on local radio and TV programs, has had his photographs featured in the Smithsonian Museum, and has shot with such fashion icons as Ms. Sophia Loren, Linda Evangelista, European pop star & fashion diva Jelena Karleusa, legendary Mexican fashion designer Edoardo Rocha, and US Olympic Champion & civil rights pioneer Dr. Melvin Pender.
