I was still the person the drivers came to for information, both on paperwork procedures to Hazardous Material matters, mostly about paperwork and placarding. This continues to this day. We had been sold years earlier to FedEx Corp. They started re-branding our equipment and change our name to FedEx Freight. In 2008, I won the "President's Team" award for 25 years of safe driving. I received my own tractor, and parking space for both my tractor and personal car and a good sized monetary award. Currently, I still drive and I'm the number 1 seniority driver at the terminal. My duties include, but are not limited to, loading route trailers, using forklifts and whatever tools are needed, matching deliveries to the paperwork, routing myself and being as efficient as possible at customer's facilities, making pickups of both regular freight and Haz Mat. and keeping myself and others around me safe.
