Managed budgets of up to 5M and proactively provided leadership and coaching for teams of up to15 direct reports. Developed business cases and raised funding from government or the private sector for projects including an LNG plant and a methanol plant in Darwin, sugar production on the Ord River in WA, a coal gasification R&D centre in Brisbane and an engineering training facility in Moranbah. Developed investment attraction material; and then secured company investments like mining technology operations in Darwin, Mackay and Brisbane, tourism facilities in central Queensland and new air services to Moranbah without the need for government funding. Established major conferences including the South East Asia Australia Offshore Conference (SEAAOC) in Darwin and led government/industry forums like the Timor Sea Consultative Group: and chaired a Regional Managers Coordination Network in Mackay. I am culturally sensitive with indigenous Australians (e.g. Gas to Gove project), people from the Asia-Pacific region etc; and communicate effectively with government, industry, academic and community interests. Provided high-level strategic and professional advice to Ministers and senior officers including presentations to Cabinet, international government/industry meetings, conferences and investors. Experience includes commodity analysis, cost-benefit analysis, computable general equilibrium modeling, input-output modeling, supply chain analysis, financial modeling, industry sector analysis, regression analysis, statistical analysis, and analysis of economic and mineral statistics for Australia, States and regions.
