But leaving the workforce as an "employee," to start your own business and eventually become an employer...Well, I can't think of anything that tops that decision. Working at Brevard Schools, while quietly accepting their always stupid money-wasting decisions, convinced me to NEVER be an employee again. Leaving that steady paycheck will be a bit uncomfortable. But times have changed and the only REAL job security is having your own business. My business grew strictly by word-of-mouth. If you treat your customers with respect and honestly, your business will continue to grow. My only regret is I waited too long to make this decision....About 30 years too long! If anyone cares, you may want to be careful when selecting a college for your degree. Several of us (at Dictaphone Corp) found ACCIS. They were accredited, all online, and offered decent pricing. All of us got our BS degrees which my last employer accepted. Years later, ACCIS dropped their technology education curriculum and then merged with American Sentinel University. I know, it sounds more like a newspaper than a school. Now it’s 100% nursing! I tried going online to find proof of my degree and failed. Since I was self employed for several years now (which prevents us from working for someone else…forever) I could care less about degree accreditation. So you have a choice: Go to a well known WOKE University, to learn about our 45 different genders and be in debt for many years or do what you enjoy doing, and find a way to become financially successful with it.
