Josh Skidmore’s Expertise 12 years Marine Corps. 2311 Ammunition specialist technician. Ammunition Specialist Technicians are responsible for the storage, transportation/issuing/receiving ammunition/explosive materials/maintaining 100% accurate inventories. As an Ammo tech I ran a 4 earth magazine section at Camp Las Pulgas, Camp Pendleton and maintained 100% accurate inventories. I was working with incendiary ammunitions' which require special hazmat knowledge and experience. I was part of my units Nuclear Biological and Chemical Decontamination team, a Machine Gun Team Leader, and trained with all demolitions to include electric blasting caps/blasting caps/detonation cord/time fuse/explosives. 0931/0933 primary marksmanship instructor/range coach. I was responsible for running the annual rifle/pistol ranges/giving periods of instruction over weapons handling/safety/how the weapon operates/effects of weather on ballistics and shooters/muscle memory/sight alignment and sight picture/natural respiratory pause/proper trigger squeeze/making adjustments to iron sight weapons and optics. Combat Marksmanship Instructor Course I shot the unknown distance moving target range with the new M16A4 with ACOG Optic as the first test class and we had to hammer pair every target out to 300 yards. Out of 210 rounds from 5 different shooting/fighting positions I had 210 hits. 2821 technical controller communications. As a technical controller I setup and maintained communications networks for 24th Marine Infantry Regiment. I was the only technical controller for the unit of around 3,000 Marines. My organizational skills and communications planning allowed me to maintain communications from basic radio through satellite communication links with no downtime. I successfully deployed the regiment to Operation Javelin Thrust and setup the regimental Command operations Center with an advanced party of roughly 12 Marines. Our initial objective was to setup the COC tents and transport the gear from the staging area to the operation area. We successfully moved all gear/setup our living area/medical/COC tents and staged gear accordingly. All equipment was setup and comms was 100% by the time the Colonel walked on deck. Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal received for this and running logistics to keep our generators fueled prior to logistics company being operational. WSQ Highest Swim Qualification Land Navigation Expert First Marine to be an Army/Air Force Combatives Instructor 5 years Firefighter type two with fire one wildland leadership. Fire fighter 1 structure. Hazmat. Rookie of the Year.
