Joshua Alper’s Expertise I am an experimental molecular and cellular biophysicist. I recently transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry where I lead a biophysics group that supports DNA encoded library (DEL) based drug discovery programs at GSK. My lab at Clemson strived to understand fundamental physical principles that bridge the atomic, molecular, and cellular scales in biological systems. We used techniques and models from physics, biophysics, optics, bioengineering, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics to make both fundamental discoveries and engineer new solutions based on these discoveries. We also develop novel technologies, techniques, and methods to enable this research.
