  Hey, I'm an international studies graduate who has a passion for learning and writing about international affairs and policy. Being born in Serbia and growing up in California has given me a unique perspective on current and historical geopolitical events. At University of California, Santa Barbara, I studied international studies. I took classes on international organizations (e.g. United Nations), global conflict, and environmental issues where I was able to deepen my understanding as well practice drafting policy memoranda. In my free time, I was also a Chief Editor at a student-run think tank called AfterThought Group. There, I was responsible for delegating weekly article topics to writers and then compiling them into a weekly newsletter. I would also create daily social media posts on current events in addition to my articles. As a result of the work I did, our group was able to educate UCSB students on global events. I further developed my writing and communications skills when I joined the Institute of European Studies as a policy analyst. During this position, I collaborated with professors and researchers to analyze Serbia's geopolitical position during the countries process of European integration . Additionally, I was responsible for organizing panels where guest lecturers would speak about various geopolitical topics ranging from public policy to impacts of artificial intelligence. In my next role, I hope to continue leveraging my unique experience and passion for geopolitics through writing.
