Four years later, I totally went in a different direction and transferred to our Women's Services unit. Here I was cross-trained to care for labor patients, post-partum care, nursery and post-operative care of other women's surgical procedures. We had a family relocation to Colby, KS in 2007 and took on another new challenge. I was the clinical nursing instructor for the LPN students at the community college. I also worked PRN in their local critical access hospital caring for medical/surgical and labor/delivery/nursery patients. Another relocation brought me to where I am today. I am currently working as Clinical Documentation Specialist. Although, I'm not currently at the bedside, I find this role to be very clinical, challenging and engaging. The Valley Health System
